i had a good chat with my ex-schoolmate late into the night yesterday and i enjoyed it very much. we had so much to talk abt becos we havnt seen or talk to each for so long! we used to be very close friends back when in school so tts y. not tt we're no longer good friends, we still are!

i was telling her hw different poly life is from sec sch life bcos she hasnt started her sch yet. it really is different.

here in poly, u have to be independent n be self-disciplined enough to do yr homework n study yr tests bcos the lecturers can't do much except to impart their knowledge to us. they can't be like sec sch tchers u know, ask u to hand up the work then after they marked them, they return to us to see hw our work is graded. in poly, most will nt be so free as to ask us to hand up our work n check for us unless they're part-timers. unless its a graded work like some prac datasheets then will we be asked to hand in. otherwise its: u don't wanna do is yr business. u have questions pls ask, no questions then like that la.
besides sch work, the friends i have in poly are different too. they are much more mature n compared to the sec sch friends, i see much more hardworking ppl. n bcos of this, sch life is nt as easy as in the past. things are much more complicating. if u dont do well, some ppl will give u that kind of look, u know its all written on their faces,"just look at this person, so lazy. such an easy paper also dont bother to study. y come to sch then?" one will have to be very self-disciplined n strive hard so that ppl don't look down on you n of course tts not the main reason. its more for our own good. my friends don't go out with me as often as my sec sch frens also. even now, i go out with outside ppl more than my sch pals. we can be very close in sch n yet we've nv gone out together before. i dont why, maybe its bcos we're all very busy we our own lives or maybe some simply dont bother bcos well, we have only been friends for such a small amt of time. so sometimes, i feel quite sad. luckily, i still have 1 or 2 close friends in sch, without which i wld have been so depressed. friends play a very important role in my life u see. esp those closest to me n my best friend.
